What this website collects

Information you provide

We do not collect personal details through the website itself. There is no account to create and no payment taken here, and we do not add anyone to a marketing list.

When you would like a quote, reach us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email — the details are on our contact page, and what happens to the information you send is set out further down this page.

Measurement, through Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It records:

• which pages you open, and in what order
• roughly where you are — city and country, worked out from your IP address. Google Analytics does not give us your IP address itself
• your device type, browser and operating system
• how you arrived — a Google search, a link, social media, or typing the address
• how long you stayed
• specific actions on the site: tapping a phone number, WhatsApp button or email link, and opening the site search
• what is entered into our cable size and voltage drop calculators — the electrical load, the run length, the installation method where the calculator asks for one, and the cable size it recommends, along with whether the result passed or failed. These are technical figures about a cable job, not about you: we use them to understand what sizes and lengths our customers work with, so we stock the right cable

This is counting, not identification. It can tell us that forty people read a page and six of them tapped WhatsApp. It cannot tell us who any of them were.

Server records

Like every website, our hosting and security providers keep short-lived technical logs that include IP addresses. These exist to deliver pages and block attacks. We do not use them to build any picture of you.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. The only cookies placed on this site come from Google Analytics — typically named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code. They hold a random number that lets Google tell a returning browser from a new one. They contain nothing personal and expire on their own.

You can remove or block them at any time in your browser settings, on a phone or a computer. On a desktop computer you can also install Google’s official Analytics opt-out add-on, which stops the measurement on every site you visit — it is a browser extension, so it is not available on phones. Nothing on this website stops working either way.

Who else receives information

We sell nothing to anyone and share nothing for advertising. These companies see information only because they help deliver or measure the site:

• Google — Google Analytics, and the web fonts the pages use. Loading a font tells Google your IP address and browser.
• Cloudflare — serves and protects the site, and also supplies the icon font. Sees your IP address.
• Render — hosts the website files.

These providers operate outside Pakistan, so information about your visit is processed abroad, under their own privacy terms.

When you contact us

Tapping WhatsApp, a phone number or an email link on this site simply opens your own app. Nothing is sent to us at that moment — we only count that a contact button was tapped, not who tapped it.

Once you actually message or call, we have whatever you chose to send: your phone number, your name if you give it, and what you asked about. We use it to answer you, quote you and deliver your order — nothing else. We do not add you to any marketing list. WhatsApp messages are also handled by WhatsApp under Meta’s own privacy policy, which we do not control.

We keep enquiry and order records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet Pakistani tax and accounting requirements.

How long measurement data is kept

Google deletes the detailed measurement data automatically. The period is set on our Analytics account and cannot exceed 14 months, which is the longest Google allows. We keep no separate copy of it.

Aggregate totals — visits per month, and similar — may be kept longer, because they describe the website rather than any person.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to info@pilonecables.com and we will reply within 30 days.

To stop the measurement described on this page, clear or block cookies for this site in your browser settings, or use a browser or add-on that blocks tracking. That works on a phone as well as a computer, and nothing on this website stops working if you do it.

Visitors in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area may also raise a concern with their national data protection authority.

Because this site collects nothing that identifies you, in most cases the only thing to remove is the cookie in your own browser, which you can clear yourself in seconds.

Children

This is a website about electrical cable for trade and construction buyers. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.

Other websites

Some pages link out to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or reference sources such as Wikipedia. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s website, under their privacy policy, not ours.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the website collects, we will update this page and change the date at the top. The date is the honest record of when it last actually changed.
