Rawalpindi is supplied by Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO). Its line runs up to your meter; the cable from the meter to your distribution board is normally yours to supply, sized by your sanctioned load. Confirm any minimum IESCO sets for the service connection with its local office before you buy the length. Meter cable sizes.
Rawalpindi summers often reach 40 °C before the monsoon, and heavy monsoon rain makes sealed outdoor joints worth the effort. Cable ratings are published for 30 °C air; BS 7671 corrects a 70 °C PVC cable by 0.87 at 40 °C. A 4 mm² cable rated 36 A carries about 31 A at 40 °C. Size it for your load.
Rooftop systems in Rawalpindi that send power back to the grid connect through IESCO, which approves the application and fits the two-way meter. The DC string cable and the AC run to the board are part of that design. Net-metering cable guide.
Rawalpindi and Islamabad share IESCO as their power company, so a connection is sized the same way in either city. Meter-to-board cable sizes.
