Multan is supplied by Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO). Its line runs up to your meter; the cable from the meter to your distribution board is normally yours to supply, sized by your sanctioned load. Confirm any minimum MEPCO sets for the service connection with its local office before you buy the length. Meter cable sizes.
Multan is one of the hottest cities in Pakistan, with June afternoons that often reach 45 °C. Cable ratings are published for 30 °C air; BS 7671 corrects a 70 °C PVC cable by 0.79 at 45 °C and 0.71 at 50 °C. A 4 mm² cable rated 36 A carries about 28 A at 45 °C and 25 A at 50 °C. Size it for your load.
Rooftop systems in Multan that send power back to the grid connect through MEPCO, which approves the application and fits the two-way meter. The DC string cable and the AC run to the board are part of that design. Net-metering cable guide.
Around Multan, tube-well and pump motors often sit a long way from the meter, so voltage drop decides the size as much as current does. Cable for farms and tube wells.
