Four 1.5 mm² class 5 conductors in one sheath — three phases plus neutral, or three control circuits plus a common, without pulling four separate wires. 30 strands of 0.25 mm per core, PVC to 300/500 V, tabulated at 17.5 A with three loaded conductors on method C at 30°C. That is about 12 kVA on a 400 V three-phase supply. Panel builders, pump installers and event crews buy this size: it is the smallest four core that still takes a proper crimp and survives being rolled up every week.

Every coil leaves our factory with a QR code printed on the packaging. Scan it and the factory record for that batch opens: brand, cable size, batch number, year of manufacture and conductor. Compare the batch number on screen with the one printed on your coil — if the two do not match, it did not come from us.

Voltage drop is current × length × 29 mV/A/m ÷ 1000. A panel circuit drawing 10 A over a 25 m run drops 10 × 25 × 29 ÷ 1000 = 7.25 V, which is 1.8% of 400 V — comfortably inside the 5% BS 7671 allows on a power circuit, 20 V here. At the cable's full 17.5 A that same 20 V arrives at 20 000 ÷ (17.5 × 29) = 39 m. Past 39 m at full load the run length picks the size, not the current.

Gear that is coiled, carried and re-rigged. Class 5 stranding takes that repeated bending; class 2 conductors harden and crack at the flex point.
Who buys this size: switchgear and panel shops, pump installers, and the event and workshop trade. The circuit it suits is a small three-phase one — a 400 V motor or panel feed under 17.5 A per phase — or a single-phase run that needs a spare core for a switch line or a pilot. For a fixed run inside conduit that never moves, the class 2 standard build costs less for the same copper and pulls in easier; class 5 earns its price only where the cable bends after installation. Above 17.5 A per phase, step up: 2.5mm 4 core flexible cable at 24 A is the next one we make, then 4mm 4 core flexible cable at 32 A.
