Cable claims come in three kinds, and they are not interchangeable: a product standard describes the cable, an installation standard describes the circuit, a management-system certificate describes the factory's paperwork.
Comparison pages in this market list names — ISO, PSQCA, IEC, BS — without saying which kind each one is or what it leaves out, so two suppliers with very different claims end up looking alike. Sorting the names into the three kinds is what makes a comparison possible. We do not know which marks Newage Cables holds today, so ask them, and ask us the same way.
Five names do most of the work on a Pakistani cable datasheet, and they do not answer the same question. Two of them define the cable itself, one governs the circuit it is installed in, one audits the factory's paperwork, and one certifies named products against a Pakistan Standard. The column that settles a claim is the last one.

A certificate is issued against a named standard, for a named range of products, under a number, with a date. A supplier who can give you all four has told you something; a logo on a website has not. So ask: which standard is it issued against, which sizes and constructions does it cover, and what is the certificate number and its date? A mark on the 1.5 mm² house wire does not automatically extend to the 25 mm² feeder in the same catalogue.
A product standard, an installation standard or a management system? The three answer different questions and only the first describes the coil.
Certificates name a scope. Ask whether the size, core count and construction you are buying sit inside it.
A number and a date can be checked with the issuing body. Without them, the claim rests on the seller's word.
We publish no third-party test report and we will not imply one. What we publish is the specification our cable is built and sold against, and it can be checked on a sample: plain annealed copper conductors drawn to IEC 60228 — class 2 for fixed wiring, class 5 for flexible — with the maximum resistance those classes allow, 450/750 V PVC insulation for fixed wiring cable, and every current figure on this site stated with its installation method, ambient temperature and derating warning. Measure the conductor mass with the weight test, or the resistance with the meter test. That is a smaller claim than a wall of logos and a more useful one.
