A ceiling fan draws 60–80 W, which is 0.27–0.36 A at 220 V. Current never limits a fan circuit: 1 mm² is rated 10 A clipped direct at 30 °C, more than twenty fans' worth. Voltage drop down a long circuit is what limits it. On a 3.3 V budget it runs out at about six fans on a 30 m circuit, while 1.5 mm² holds ten.
A ceiling fan point in Pakistan is wired in 1.5 mm² copper — the wire the trade sells as 3/.029 — on a 6 A MCB shared with the room's lights. 1 mm² carries the load on paper: a fan is 60–80 W, so 60 ÷ 220 = 0.27 A and 80 ÷ 220 = 0.36 A, against 10 A clipped direct at 30 °C. The reason to take the heavier size instead is distance, not current — and the fact that a Pakistani shop stocks 3/.029 by the coil.

Charts that say "8 to 10 fans per circuit" rarely say what the limit is. Current is not it: a 6 A MCB divided by 0.36 A a fan is sixteen fans, and the cable clears the breaker either way. Voltage drop is what bites, because a fan and light circuit goes room to room and is the longest circuit in a house. Hold it to 3% of 220 V — 6.6 V — and give the final circuit half of that, 3.3 V, the submain having spent the rest.

Read down the columns against the 3.3 V budget: 1 mm² is spent between six and eight fans, 1.5 mm² between ten and twelve. Adding the room's lights barely moves it, because an LED point is 0.02–0.09 A. That is the honest basis for "eight to ten points on a fan circuit" — a voltage-drop rule wearing a rule-of-thumb coat, and on a short 15 m circuit you can carry more.
